Lipitec GlycoFat - A unique calcium soap for dairy cows
Calcium soap has many positive qualities, i.e. the highest digestibility among all fat products for cows. Unfortunately palatability of the ration sometimes can be reduced, if considerable amounts of calcium soap is mixed in, but this problem is now solved in the new calcium soap, launched by NLM Vantinge: Lipitec GlycoFat. In production of this new calcium soap, pure glycerol is mixed in during the reaction process. Glycerol has an extreme sweet taste, and also a strong ability of binding soap taste. In this way, you get a calcium soap with almost neutral taste, wich is unique.

Increasing concerns about high-C16 fat
Danish farmers have for decades been using lots of rumen protected fat for their dairy cows. The latest years the use of saturated fatty acids with high C16 (80% C16) content has been increased. Now some feed companies and dairies are aware of the fact, that use of high-C16 fat results in an undesired change in milk fat composition. The danish farmers newspapers have also been focusing on this topic.
Tests have shown, that C16 in milk fat easily can be significantly increased by 40% when these products are used. Experts in human nutrition aggrees, that increased C16 in food creates high cholesterol levels in human blood. NLM is very much aware of this topic, and we solely recommend fat products without this negative impact on human healt. |
